Awards Criteria for the Best e-Governance Initiative
The award in the category of best e-Governance initiative is open for all forms of
governments including zonal, regional and local governments that use or endorse upon the use of ICT tools in government services, computerisation of government departments for the purposes of increasing access, transparency, efficiency of administrative functions such as tracking and monitoring, billing of utility bills and e-Services to increase efficiency of the government departments as well as the end users. Projects nominated for best government initiative should bear in themselves a mark of sustainability. Individual projects should show similar or near to similar results while replicated in other government agencies and departments.
The evaluation criteria is based on quality of vision of the projects, services, past work and implementations of technologies for the empowerment of livelihoods, and so on. Besides, soundness of technology being used, the scalability and sustainability issues and finally the impact it has made on the citizen’s life are also some of the criteria for evaluation.
