Awards Criteria for the Best Innovations at the Grassroots Telecentre
The award is to open for all telecentre communities,
Non-Government Organisations (NGOs), Self Help Groups (SHGs) and community based groups who use Information, Communications and Technologies (ICTs) in providing various services, including education, e-Governance, health services and other services through telecentre programme.
The evaluation criteria is based on quality of vision of the projects, services, past work and implementations of technologies for the empowerment of livelihoods, and so on. Besides, soundness of technology being used, the scalability and sustainability issues and finally the impact it has made on the citizen’s life are also some of the criteria for evaluation. The selection process is based on following criteria:
The following criteria will be taken into account in the selection of grassroots telecentre:
- Range of livelihoods provided from the initiative
- Scalability of the initiative to be adopted for application elsewhere
- Success of the initiative/project
- Positive impact of the initiative/project on the community
- Efficacy of the initiative/project in terms of capacity building
- Sustainability of the project/initiative
