CALL FOR PAPERS - eINDIA 2010


It is our pleasure to announce 'call-for-papers' for the 6th annual eINDIA 2010 ICT conference and exhibition

Papers are solicited ONLY from academia, government, NGOs and students.
Private sector and corporate organisations are NOT encouraged to apply.


Application of information and communication technology (ICT) in the domain of government, education, healthcare, agriculture and rural services are redefining traditional working of society and business.

There is a driving need to build synergy around those plethora of thoughts, ideas, innovations and knowledge available in this space and share across communities and stakeholders.

The 6th eINDIA 2010 strives to provide an ambient platform for intellectually stimulating deliberations around ICT policy, infrastructure, innovation, commercialisation, market opportunities, capacity building, best practices and alike, in India and across the globe.

In the backdrop of strengthening the digital opportunities for the new age economy, the 6th eINDIA 2010 seeks original abstracts/proposals/presentations from individuals who demonstrate significant innovation in harnessing technology for transforming some aspects of Governance, Education, Healthcare, Agriculture and Rural Service Delivery through Telecentres.

Contributions are solicited in form of either workshops, paper or poster presentations.

We request you to use our specific template for abstract submission. Detailed instructions are provided within the template.

GUIDELINES FOR ABSTRACT & PAPER SUBMISSION


Format
File format - Word Document or PDF
Font style - Arial or Times New Roman in single column format
Font size- 12 for paper
Font size- 14 for the title and authors
Line spacing -1.5 lines

Abstract and Full Paper
Word limit for abstracts - 500 words
Word limit for final paper (excld. abstract, tables, diagrams and references) – 2500 words
Paper Title: The title of the paper should not exceed 8 words.
Author 1: Name, Designation, Institution/ Organisation, Email Id
Author 2 Name, Designation, Iinstitution/ Organisation, Email Id

Authors Bio and Image
Authors are requested to submit a brief bio (describing their areas of interest and their present work areas) of about 100 words along with the abstract and an image (high resolution preferably 300 dpi) of the author/s.

Figures and Tables
Figures, tables and images should follow the references. Please make sure that every table or figure is referred to in the text. The table or figure will be placed after the first mention in the text. Legends should be short, descriptive and define any acronyms, abbreviations or symbols used.

Authors are requested to provide full color high-resolution images (preferably 300 dpi, jpeg image). The images should also be attached separately with the papers and properly referenced with the text.

References
References to published works must be cited in text according to the author/date system and listed alphabetically as a separate appendix titled 'References' at the end of the manuscript.

General Guidelines for Papers
The paper may be on accomplished research results, assessments of projects/work-in-progress or fresh concepts, preliminary research results.

The paper should state clearly the objective of the project, motivation/need and context of the research/project, describe the methodology used, summarise key findings and state their importance to ICT in education.

Endnotes and footnotes should be kept to an absolute minimum. Substantive comments should be integrated within the text rather than placed in a note.
