Ashish Garg, Asia Regional Coordinator, GeSCI (Global e-Schools Initiative)
An educationist by profession, Ashish Garg has more than ten years experience in Education, with specific expertise in the ICT4E domain.
Prior to joining GeSCI, Ms Garg worked with World Links as the India head of the World Bank supported World Links programme, She launched the World Links Professional Development Programme on Integration of ICTs in Education for Schools, impacting teacher training methodologies in more than 100 schools across several Indian states. Ms Garg has set up community development projects focusing on the provision of sustainable entrepreneurial livelihood mechanisms for women and youth. Solid skills in building partnerships with government, public, private, civil society organizations and multinational donor community, she has also worked with Intel, Schoolnet and Times of India to further the role of technology in education. Ms Garg has been a regular advocate and speaker at National and International forums for ICT4E and ICT4D.
An MBA, a gold medallist in English Hons with a national scholarship award and a degree in Education are her basic qualifications. She also holds a post -graduate diploma in Human resource management.
