Summit Details

Following the growth story of healthcare sector in India, health insurance providers are pinning up hope for the emergence of a substantially large market opportunity. While age-old challenges like inadequate insurance awareness among masses and low public confidence continue to persist, most payors are grappling with problems of high payouts due to overprovisioning of care, low business profitability, long break-even periods, and above all, unregulated provider segment practices.

Apparently most of these challenges are born out of insufficient clinical data and reporting standards, incongruent clinical practices, sporadic information flow among providers and payors, and often, ineffective underwriting and claims evaluation. Interestingly technology has an answer to most of these problems.

To know more about what IT has to offer for payers of healthcare, join us at the 'Health Insurance Summit' on April 30, 2010, at The Claridges, New Delhi.
