i4d Film Festival is a one-of-its kind festival focusing on films which particularly talk about the use of any ICT tool in poverty alleviation, gender issues, health, sexuality, human rights, education, governance, etc.

The festival along with the eINDIA2007 conference and exhibition aims to raise awareness, discuss issues and highlight successes and failures in the domain of ICT for Development. We also aim to strengthen advocacy strategies that might include visual representations.

Panel discussions will bolster the interactive and communicative nature of the film festival. It will also help build capacity of those grassroots organisations who presently do not engage with the visual medium.

The development-focused features, long and short, will be gathered from around the world through the well-established networks that we already foster.

The grassroots representatives including filmmakers as well as consumers will form the most important
constituent in the audience base for this event. As mentioned previously, the entire motivation for this
festival is to bring out the nuances of ICT4D the grassroots level, as well as to build capacity for the same.

The i4d (Information For Development) print magazine is one its kind, and is intended to provide a much-needed platform for exchange of information, ideas, opinions and experiences, both inside and outside the Information and Communication Technology for Development (ICT4D) sector. While several electronic publications do currently exist, i4d is perhaps the first that addresses the need by utilizing the strength and potential of the print media.
